Are you transferring you domain
name in?
If you are
registered with another registrar, and you are transferring your
name IN for free or paid hosting, you will need to update your
nameservers. Here are the nameservers listed in order:

To change your nameservers with
Network Solutions, A Verisign Company, you must use their
template system. Here is a link to the make changes
page: http://www.networksolutions.com/cgi-bin/makechanges/domain.mod
Enter your email address listed
on the domain name and the domain name and enter the
template. In the template, you can make any modifications
you wish, but be sure to change the nameserver
information. Click "Submit for Processing" and
wait.
Next you will receive an
email to the address you listed. You reply to this email
and follow the directions very carefully. To approve you
must fill out the authorization section like this:

You will place a Y for Yes
to authorize this and then hit SEND to send the letter. It
is a good idea to put your email address as carbon copy so you
get a copy of the authorization as well.

To change your nameservers with
register.com, you simply go to http://register.com
and click the "Manage My Account" link. Enter
your username and password for the domain and change the
nameservers yourself.

To change your nameservers with registrars.com, go to http://registrars.com
and click DNS change. Enter your username and password and
make the change in your doman manager control panel.
Transferring your name
OUT?
If you are
registered with yourfavorite.com and you need to change your
nameservers to transfer out, simply send email to HELP@yourfavorite.com
from the email address listed in your control panel. Put your
domain name in the subject line and list the DNS changes in the
body like this:
If your email on file is not valid, simply log in to your control
panel at yourdomain.com/stats and change the email address. If you
don't remember your password, click
here. Or
send a signed change request on company letterhead by fax to 617-249-0850.

NOTE: If you are registered
via Network Solutions, A Verisign Company, through instantpc.com
before January 1999, AND your contact eMail address is listed as HOSTING@instantpc.com,
you must first send the transfer notification as listed above to HELP@yourfavorite.com,
with your domain name in the subject line and in the body,
substitute the new DNS information for a statement as
follows:
"I authorize you to submit Network Solutions DNS approval to
change my contact information."
Then follow the Network Solutions procedure using HOSTING@instantpc.com
as your email address. Modify your DNS and ANY other contact
information you wish, including the email address. This way
you will be able to approve your own changes in the future.
When the template is sent to HOSTING@instantpc.com
by Network Solutions, A Verisign Company, our system will
automatically agree to the transfer, if your authorization was
properly received at HELP@yourfavorite.com
in advance. Authorizations expire after 48 hours.
